Welcome to
KULP Genetics
Cattle for every operation
With a focus on enhancing polled Fleckvieh Simmental genetics and developing maternal lines, Kulp Genetics truly has something for everyone. We are David and Anne Kulp, and when we started raising Fullblood Fleckvieh Simmentals in 2016, we focused on blending what the foreign markets wanted, as well as the characteristics we wanted for the cattle we bred and raised on own farm. With bulls in prominent studs in multiple breeds, our understanding of cattle genetics has been recognized throughout the cattle industry.
Kulp Genetics began in 2000 as an on-farm embryo transfer service, and we are a member of the American Embryo Transfer Association. Anne, who is a licensed veterinarian with more than 40 years of embryo transfer experience, performs our embryo transfer services right on the farm in Manheim, Pennsylvania. As a USDA approved facility, you can trust that our embryos are collected with care and expertise.
Why Fleckvieh Simmental?
Known worldwide as a dual-purpose breed, Fleckvieh Simmentals maximize both milk and beef production with outstanding feed efficiency. It’s a breed that Anne has wanted to raise since she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M, and they have produced high-quality cattle for us. They are adaptable and found on every continent, and excellent when used in cross-breeding, with fertility and early maturity.
Kulp cattle offer desirable polled, goggle-eyed cattle with higher EPDs and a little Old World flair thrown in. Their fullblood Fleckvieh Simmental embryos deliver quality cattle to herds all over the world, and are looking to the future of the Fleckvieh Simmental breed both near and far. With long-term goals of placing Fleckvieh bulls in prominent bull studs, as well as continued development of their heifer crop, they are looking to the future of the breed, as well as the beef industry.
